EcoCool® Thermal Box Liner
EcoCool® is a paper-fibre thermal box liner that insulates and cushions in one. Made from clean, never-before-recycled corrugated offcuts and encapsulated in a durable kraft paper liner, it gives chilled shipments a soft, protective lining that is designed for kerbside recycling.
Like every Hydropac solution, it is built performance first: the right pack-out is proven against your product, route and temperature requirement, not assumed.
- Thermal insulation and cushioning in one liner
- Product kept below 8°C in a 48-hour laboratory chamber test
- No loose fibres or debris: the core is fully encapsulated
- Complete system, box and liners, designed for kerbside recycling
- Three cubed sizes, 10, 12 and 14 inch, as a liner set or with the box
- Works with Hydropac coolants, including HydroPureâ„¢
Paper insulation. Expertly engineered for cold-chain performance.
Insulation and cushioning in one paper-fibre liner.
EcoCool® is a thermal box liner made from clean, never-before-recycled corrugated trim waste and offcuts. The fibres are compressed into a soft, springy insulating core and encapsulated in a tough, moisture-resistant kraft paper outer liner, so the liner sits neatly inside a cubed cardboard box and does two jobs at once. It slows the transfer of heat into your shipment, and it cushions the product against the knocks of a parcel network.
It is designed for chilled deliveries, from meal kits and fresh produce to dairy and pharmaceutical shipments, and it is available exclusively from Hydropac.
Sustainable insulation is only sustainable if it works
There is no shortage of paper insulation on the market, and plenty of it looks the part. The question that matters is whether the complete pack-out protects your product on a real route, in real weather, through a real delivery network.
That is why EcoCool is about performance first. A liner never works alone. Its performance depends on the coolant, the payload, how the box is packed and the journey it takes, so we look at all of them together. In a 48-hour laboratory chamber test, with the ambient temperature cycling between 20°C and 25°C, the product skin temperature stayed below 8°C throughout, at around 2°C from hour 8 to hour 40. You will find the full test configuration under Technical Data, and we can help you prove the right configuration against your own product, route and temperature requirement.
Cushioning as well as insulation
The compressed fibre core gives EcoCool the soft, protective feel customers expect from foam. It absorbs shocks in transit, which helps protect delicate food, pharmaceutical and other temperature-sensitive products.
There are no loose, dusty fibres or debris to worry about. The core is encapsulated and sealed, so the liner keeps its shape and position throughout the journey.
Designed for straightforward disposal
EcoCool is made from clean, never-before-recycled corrugated waste, in a dry process powered by renewable electricity.
When the delivery is unpacked, the complete system, box and liners, is designed to go into kerbside recycling alongside standard household cardboard packaging, subject to local guidance. Your customer has one simple disposal step.
Pair it with the right coolant
EcoCool works as part of a complete Hydropac system. For chilled shipments, pair it with HydroPureâ„¢ water ice packs. The amount of coolant depends on your payload, so our team can help you choose the quantity and placement that suit your box size and route.
